( N )ature ( I )ntact with ( T )echnocrats

we often ponder about issues like climate change, extinction of wetlands, decreasing BOD levels,no tigers in panna,3 in sariska, but no results,we strike heads but no concrete steps, no concerted efforts climate change is nt just an environmental challenge but also an ideological one.we boast of being india's able techwizards, itz not just aba institutions lyk iits and nits....who have to make a move..an ideaological move....and its not to go on roads, jungle safaris,to east kolkata wetlands and start anothr chipko movement, nor go excessively passionte about your surroundings as the bishnoi tribe,it isnt practical and advisable. Associations like IYCN etc...are doing aptly well about it and judging the need of the hour in the fast-track court of action....
folkss, enough of socratism.lets gear up fr sum real action.so did you ever give it a thought that how much does the central govt.(m.h.r.d) spends on each one of us and we just merely pay 20,000 per sem against the whopping,sultery-giving fess of private clgs.basing myself on exact data,it spends 10 lakhs on 1 studentand think of all the electricity we use,and yes the hostel LAN,sum of us get nightmares the day it goes out of service;am aint saying that be a sage and dont use it,just"OBSERVE ND CONSERVE" like for example how many of us report of leaking taps in hostel premises to the authoritiesand yes when we go out of our rooms we keep the lights on for the goosebumps' ghosts to study.how many of us actually bother to keep d campus "clean"by not illegally driving scooties through it even after filling an "undertaking form" for not bringing them to clg.what we do is debate over issues like kyoto protocol and stuff in our clg fests.is this required?itz sumthing like your lamp giving light 2 neighbour's house and not u.itz not that difficult actually to create awareness aba issues lyk ozone layer depletion, defforestation, population explosion n thngs concerning our environment.but itz difficult to employ 'men in action' to work for it. what we need to do is that not just awaken our minds, which r actually awakened.so wat we need to do is to try to follow some of the following steps.........

  1. dont buy textbooks,borrow from library......------save paper.......
  2. cut your bath frequency-----save water........
  3. ride bicycles or be on foot-----save fuel.......
  4. borrow and rent electronic gadgets like electric iron, kettles-----save money.......
  5. dont follow enrique, he says "dont turn off d lights"-----save electricity.......
  6. dont increase ur carbon footprint-----green your wallet........
  7. bury plastic bottles----get steel in your veins.......
AWARE, BEWARE

build up green..........

revolution..........I GO GREEN........
